When the 21 Day Fix came across my screen, I just about fell off my seat. It was exactly what I needed to whittle down my semi-muffin top and see if I could get my abs to see the sun again…simple meal planning partnered with tough, effective short workouts.
I received my stuff a few days early, which gave me time to look at the program and plan the workouts to fit my schedule. I teach at a gym, and was not willing to give up my classes for three weeks. On my off days, I did a 21DF workout in the comfort of my home. I started on August 2, 2015. My coach introduced me to others in my FB challenge group so we could meet each other & share our 21 day goals.
I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed the challenge group. I can’t wait to host my own in September. Within a day or two, everyone was already feeling, and in some cases, seeing the changes in their bodies. It was a huge motivation for me.
Because I didn’t have a lot of weight to lose, my results weren’t really noticeable in the first week of the 21 Day fix. As I began week two, I felt my competitive side come out. I wanted results like the others! This is when the challenge group really helped me power through and push myself. My belly really started to flatten out towards the end of week two. It was a total different mindset, as the program really breaks the nutrition into very simple, easy-to-follow steps…I never counted a calorie, and I worked out every day, either at my gym or at home.
Everyday I felt like I was getting closer and closer to my goals. By Day 21, I couldn’t believe these before and after pictures!
I lost six pounds and 4 inches on the 21 Day Fix! Not bad for a 42-year old…
